Nazlukhanyan Ovsep Seyranovich

In the occupied Luhansk on September 30, 2020, 34-year-old local resident, citizen of Ukraine Ovsep Nazlukhanyan, was detained. He was accused of treason in the form of espionage and providing other assistance to a foreign state under the Criminal Code of the so-called" "of the Luhansk People's Republic. According to the investigation, at the beginning of 2017, while on Ukrainian-controlled territory, Ovsep Nazlukhanyan was recruited by an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine. Nazlukhanyan gave consent to covert cooperation aimed against the security of the Lugansk People's Republic. Carrying out the tasks of the SBU, he collected and transmitted information about the sons of the head of the Luhansk administration. According to investigators, he also tried to persuade a former employee of the LPR Prosecutor General's Office to participate in the SBU program 'You Are Expected Home'. Furthermore, in November 2018, he initiated and facilitated criminal prosecution on the territory of Ukraine of officials of the company 'Novye Tekhnologii', which was engaged in restoration work in the LNR, for which he filed an application with the SBU, handed over photographed accounting documents, and gave witness testimony. The defendants in the case were placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. On August 17, 2021, the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic found Ovsep Nazlukhanyan guilty and sentenced him to 13 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime colony. There is no information about appealing the verdict.
