Case Description
In the occupied Donetsk region, no later than July 2023, a criminal case was opened against 46-year-old Ukrainian citizen Olga Pichurina on charges of espionage. According to the Russian investigation, from May to July 2023, Pichurina, who lived in Mariupol, allegedly collected and transmitted to the main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine information about the locations of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation located in the city." The court placed the woman in custody. On November 12, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk Republic found Olga Pichurina guilty and sentenced her to 11 years in a general regime colony. On February 27, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
