Case Description
In Izhevsk in July 2023, Olga Avdeeva, a surgeon and mother of five children, was accused of repeated discrediting of the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The woman believes that she attracted the attention of law enforcement officers with an anti-war picket held later, with a poster 'Russia is doing ZLO' at the same theater. She was placed under a written undertaking not to leave as a measure of restraint. In March 2022, Olga Avdeeva was detained at an anti-war protest - at that time, a protocol was drawn up against her under an administrative article on discrediting the Russian army, and she was fined 15 thousand rubles. According to the court's ruling, during the protest, Avdeeva shouted anti-war slogans and held a poster in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
