Case Description
In the city of Topki, Kemerovo Oblast, no later than June 2024, a criminal case was initiated against 55-year-old local resident Oleg Grushin on charges of justifying terrorism. Certain comments and posts on "Odnoklassniki" served as the basis for initiating a criminal case. The details of the charges are unknown. Grushin wrote many comments against the war, including liking a post with a quote from Dzhokhar Dudayev about Ukraine. The court sent the defendant in the case into custody. September 19, 2024, the 2nd Eastern Military Court found Oleg Grushin guilty and sentenced him to 2 years in a general regime colony. December 18, 2024, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
