Case Description
Early in August 2023, a search was conducted at the home of 17-year-old local resident Oleg Berezin in the Zabaykalsky Krai. The reason for the search was posts in the Telegram channel "about the Siberian Republic. According to the investigation, the teenager published "ways of rebellion" in his channel - including calls to blow up railway tracks and set fire to relay cabinets, as well as "justifying the commission of terrorist acts. A criminal case was opened against Berezin for calls and propaganda of terrorism and calls for extremism. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. On February 6, 2024, the 2nd Eastern District Military Court decided to apply compulsory medical measures to Oleg Berezin. The court's decision was not appealed and entered into legal force.
