Case Description
On the night of June 12, 2024, in the city of Semikarakorsk, Rostov region, 17-year-old student of the local agro-technological college Nikolai Shvets was detained on Boris Kulikov Avenue next to the building of the humanitarian aid collection point. Allegedly, a bottle of flammable liquid and matches were found on Nikolai. According to law enforcement officials, the teenager planned to set fire to a humanitarian aid point, but he was 'intercepted by FSB officers from the Rostov region.' On July 8, 2024, a criminal case was opened against the student for attempted terrorism. He was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
