Case Description

In Mozhaysk, Moscow region, 26-year-old Nikolai Martynov was detained in December 2023. On December 15, 2023, Judge Vladislav Yuskaev of the Mozhaysk City Court sentenced the young man to 12 days of arrest in a case of an administrative offense under the article on disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer. According to the court protocol and ruling, a criminal case on theft was initiated against Martynov on October 16, 2023, in connection with which he was placed on the wanted list. When police officers discovered him, he refused to go with them for questioning and tried to run away. He was sent to a temporary detention facility in Istra. On December 27, 2023, 12 minutes after being released from the detention center, Martynov was detained again." 5. According to the police, he swore "obscene language" and pushed a person. Judge Irina Kukushkina of the Istra City Court of the Moscow Region arrested him for 10 days under the article on petty hooliganism. On the day of the end of his next arrest, January 21, 2024, Martynov was detained near Krasnogorsk. The precinct police officer of the Nakhabinsky police department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Krasnogorsk drew up a protocol against him for an administrative offense under the article on petty hooliganism. The next day, Judge Elena Lemesheva of the Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region sentenced him to 14 days of arrest. On February 4, after the fourth arrest, the young man was again detained "for checking for involvement in a crime" in Mozhaysk. Judge Vladislav Yuskayev of the Mozhaysk City Court of the Moscow Region arrested him for 12 days in a case of disobedience to police. On February 21, 2024, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sent Martynov to a pre-trial detention center already under the criminal article on treason. The details of the charges are unknown. June 11, 2025, the Moscow Regional Court found Nikolai Martynov guilty, the size of the punishment is unknown. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
