Case Description

In early April 2022, Russian security forces abducted two Ukrainian citizens, father and son - 72-year-old Alexey and 52-year-old Oleg Danilchenko - in the occupied Mariupol of Donetsk region. They visited them at the SIZO-3 in Makeyevka. Alexey's wife, 70-year-old Nina Vasilyevna, spent many months going to the pre-trial detention center with care packages and for visits, writing complaints to all Russian authorities, hoping that they would 'figure it out' and let them go. On December 12, 2023, Nina Vasilyevna was also detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center. The whole family was accused of terrorism. The details of the charges are unknown. Anatoly Tyulyubayev, a citizen of Ukraine, was detained in the Krasnodar Territory in October 2023. According to the FSB, on October 22 of the same year, while in Timashevsk, he received from representatives of Ukrainian special services the coordinates of a cache containing components for making IEDs, after which he found the cache and took out about one and a half kilograms of hexogen, as well as components for making IEDs."
