Case Description
A criminal case was initiated in the Kherson region against Nikolai Lenitsky, a resident of the village of Velikaya Lepetiha. He was accused of publicly disseminating knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the grounds of political hatred. The date of his detention is unknown. According to the investigation, Lenitsky, adhering to pro-Ukrainian views, repeatedly called on local residents to ignore Russian laws. On his personal page in one of the social networks, he posted a video claiming that Russian servicemen carried out a bombing raid on a village in the Bryansk region, resulting in a large number of civilian casualties. No later than August 11, 2025, the Novotroitsk interdistrict court of the Kherson region found Nikolai Lenitsky guilty and sentenced him to seven years in prison in a general regime colony. He was also banned for three years from engaging in activities related to the administration of websites and the dissemination of information on the Internet. On October 23, 2025, the Kherson Regional Court left the verdict unchanged.
