Case Description
In the Republic of Crimea, no later than July 2024, 58-year-old Nikolai Davydchenko, a resident of Feodosia, was detained. His was accused of treason, illegal circulation and manufacture of explosive devices and explosives. According to the investigation, in 2022, Davydchenko on his own initiative established contact with a representative of the SBU through an internet site and began cooperation. On the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, in November 2023 and April 2024, he took an electric detonator and more than 1.2 kg of explosives from caches at a cemetery in the Dzhankoy district. From these components, as well as nails, he manufactured an improvised explosive device in his garage in Feodosia, which in July 2024, on the orders of the SBU, he hid near the Yalta—Sevastopol highway. After the detention of Nikolai Davydchenko, he was placed in custody. On September 11, 2025, the Sevastopol City Court found Nikolai Davydchenko guilty and sentenced him to 17 years in a strict regime penal colony with a 1-year restriction of freedom and a fine of 600 thousand rubles. The court also ordered the confiscation of the man's car and mobile phones for the benefit of the state.
