Case Description
In Penza region on 22 July 2025, local resident Nikolay Avdonin was detained. He was charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, financing of terrorism and financing of extremist activity. The details of the charges are unknown.
The court remanded him in custody.
On 17 June 2026, the Central District Military Court found Nikolay Avdonin guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict-regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
