Case Description
In Yalta, in annexed Crimea, local resident Nikita Zagoruyko was detained. He was accused of treason. Details of the charges and the date of detention are unknown. For the duration of the investigation, the defendant was placed in a pre-trial detention center. August 22, 2024, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found Nikita Zagoruyevsky guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a strict regime penal colony. On November 22, 2024, the Third Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the verdict unchanged.
