Case Description
In St. Petersburg in November 2024, local resident Nikita Nikitin was detained. He was accused of planning sabotage. According to law enforcement, on November 15, 2024, the man conducted video recording of an electrical substation on Zanevsky Prospekt, thereby "creating conditions for the subsequent commission of a crime" — acting out of mercenary motives, he intended to commit sabotage by arson. On November 16, 2024, the Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg issued a ruling to choose Nikitin's measure of restraint in the form of detention.
