Case Description
In September 2025, in the city of Borovichi, Novgorod Oblast, a 20-year-old local resident, a former participant in the "SVO" (Special Military Operation) and previously convicted, Nikita Dolzhenko, was detained. He was accused of attempting to carry out two terrorist attacks. According to the investigation, in May 2025, Dolzhenko twice attempted to set fire to cellular base stations. One station worth more than 250 thousand. The ruble belonged to the companies "MTS", Vympel Communications" and "Alfa", and the second, with the same value, belonged to the company "T2 Mobile. In both cases, Dolzhenko was unable to complete his actions due to circumstances beyond his control. September 8, 2025, the Borovichi District Court chose a measure of restraint for the defendant in the form of detention.
