Case Description
In the city of Golaya Pristan in the occupied Kherson region, no later than May 9, 2022, local resident Nikita Chebotar, 30, disappeared. Journalists found a person with the same details in the lists of peaceful residents of the occupied regions of Ukraine who were taken to Russian colonies and pre-trial detention centers. There are reports that when Chebotary was detained, he was tortured. Later, it became known that a criminal case was opened against him in Crimea for creating an illegal armed formation, with details of the charges unknown. The man was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
