Case Description
A criminal case was initiated against 50-year-old Natalya Kuklina, a resident of Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, at the end of December 2022, on charges of repeated "discrediting of the army. On December 12, a search was conducted at her home, during which Kuklina's equipment was confiscated. It is unknown what exactly became the reason for the criminal prosecution. On December 23, 2022, the Petrozavodsk City Court of the Republic of Karelia chose a preventive measure for her in the form of a ban on certain actions: she was prohibited from using the information and telecommunications network "Internet. At the end of August 2023, Kuklina was reported by a resident of Petrozavodsk, Vladimir G. they confiscated a personal car because she left "discrediting the army inscriptions" on it. The woman's car was taken to the impound lot, brushes, paint cans and tape were seized, and she herself was detained. Earlier, in the spring and summer of 2022, Kuklin was three times brought to administrative responsibility under the article on discrediting the army." The reason was anti-war leaflets, stickers, and a post on VKontakte. On December 17, 2024, the Petrozavodsk City Court of the Republic of Karelia terminated the case against Natalya Kuklina due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution."
