Case Description
In Kostroma, a criminal case was opened against local resident Natalya Yefremova for "fakes" about the Russian army. Exact date of detention is unknown. According to the investigation, the woman on her page in one of the social networks "systematically spread fakes about the Armed Forces of Russia, which are in the zone of the SVO. In her posts, she posted knowingly false information about the Russian President unleashing war on the territory of Ukraine, the deliberate destruction of cities and civilian population on the territory of this country by Russian military personnel. In October 2023, the case began to be considered by the Sverdlovsk District Court of Kostroma, but on January 21, 2024, the proceedings were suspended after several sessions due to the fact that "the defendant had gone into hiding. On March 1, the court hearing resumed. On March 5, 2024, the Sverdlovsky District Court of Kostroma found Natalya Efremova guilty and sentenced her to corrective labor for a period of 6 months. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
