Case Description
In Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Oblast, no later than November 2024, a criminal case was initiated for calls to terrorism against 49-year-old local resident Natalya Doroshenko. She was charged with five episodes of calls for terrorism, the details of the charges are unknown. The woman herself compares her persecution to the struggle against "anti-Sovietists" during the USSR. During the investigation, the woman was at large, it is unknown what measure of restraint she had. On June 27, 2025, the 2nd Eastern Military District Court found Natalya Doroshenko guilty and sentenced her to 5.5 years in a general regime penal colony. The woman was taken into custody in the courtroom. November 1, 2025, the Appellate Military Court reduced the sentence by 1 month.
