Case Description
In the city of Zhigulyovsk, Samara region, on November 15, 2023, 67-year-old pensioner Nadezhda Gridneva came to the military commissariat on Privolzhskaya Street around six in the evening and threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture. The area of the fire was only 0.5 square meters, and the doors were slightly charred. A woman was detained. During questioning, she explained that unknown people had convinced her over the phone to take such a step in order to keep her apartment. Allegedly, the documents for the housing were stored there. Gridnev was accused of attempted destruction of someone else's property by a generally dangerous method. Before the election of a preventive measure, she was placed in a temporary detention center. Two days later, on November 17, 2023, the court placed the pensioner under house arrest. On February 14, 2024, the woman's preventive measure was mitigated by imposing a ban on certain actions. On June 4, 2024, the Zhigulevsk City Court of the Samara Region found Nadezhda Gridneva guilty and sentenced her to 1.6 years of restriction of freedom as punishment." The court prohibited the woman from leaving the city of Zhigulevsk, changing her place of residence or stay, or changing her place of work without the consent of the specialized state body overseeing the serving of sentences by convicts. Before the sentence came into force, the pensioner was placed under house arrest. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
