Case Description
In September 2022, a criminal case was initiated against active military serviceman Miroslav Nyshcha in the Khabarovsk Krai. He was accused of spreading knowingly false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation using his official position motivated by hatred. The reason for the criminal prosecution was Nysh's conversation with colleagues about Bucha and the state of the Russian army. Also in the case there is personal correspondence of a serviceman in April 2022 in Instagram with an acquaintance about Bucha. According to the investigation, on April 19, 2022, in a military unit in the Khabarovsk Territory, Nich criticized the decision to begin the "special operation."" In particular, he said that the actions of the Russian military are similar to annexation, shared his opinion that all this will only lead to collapse. Nych also said that old equipment from Russian units was sent to Ukraine. Nych also said that one could receive money and citizenship of another country if they surrendered Russian military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as about the involvement of Russian military personnel in the killings of civilians in Bucha.
