Case Description
On July 27, 2023, a verdict was handed down in Cheboksary in a criminal case on the rehabilitation of Nazism against Mikhail Ulyanov. According to the prosecutor's version, Mikhail posted a video on his personal page on the video hosting site in which he "humiliated and insulted" the participants of the "Immortal Regiment" action. Furthermore, as the prosecution claims, he disseminated information expressing 'clear disrespect for society' in connection with the celebration of Victory Day. The court found Mikhail guilty of rehabilitating Nazism and sentenced him to 8 months in a penal colony-settlement, as well as banned him from using the internet for three years. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
