Case Description
In Khabarovsk, no later than May 2024, a 33-year-old local resident, a native of Mariupol, Mikhail Repin, was detained. He was accused of treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to the investigation, Repin left Russia for Ukraine, received a passport there at his place of birth, and fought in Donbas as part of the "Azov" battalion." The defendants in the case were placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. On February 27, 2025, the 1st Eastern Military District Court found Mikhail Repin guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
