Case Description
In Krasnodar, at the beginning of February 2025, a 44-year-old local resident, Mikhail Latia, was detained. He was accused of attempted sabotage. According to the investigation, in February 2025, Laty was looking for work through a messenger. A user with the nickname "Nikolass" contacted him and offered him a monetary reward of 30 thousand. rubles to commit arson of relay cabinets, which the resident of Krasnodar agreed to. Latiy received instructions from "Nikolas" about the location and method of arson and the need for video recording of these actions, prepared an incendiary mixture, and on February 4, 2025, attempted to set fire to 2 relay cabinets." Due to adverse weather conditions, the mixture did not ignite. Seeing passersby approaching him, the man fled, and was soon detained by FSB officers. The court placed the defendant in a pre-trial detention center at the request of the investigation. On September 3, 2025, the Krasnodar Regional Court found Mikhail Latia guilty and sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment, of which the first 3 years are to be served in prison, and the rest in a strict regime correctional colony.
