Case Description
In Nikolsky, Penza Oblast, in June 2023 (exact date unknown), a criminal case was opened against local resident Mikhail Kartashov for repeated 'discrediting of the army' and robbery. Details of the case and the chosen measure of restraint are unknown. Earlier, in April 2022, Kartysheva was fined in a case of an administrative offense under the article on the discrediting of the Armed Forces due to anti-war comments on VKontakte." On August 28, 2023, the Nikolsky District Court of the Penza Region found Mikhail Kartashov guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 105 thousand rubles. It is unknown whether the punishment under the article on robbery was included here. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
