Case Description
In Nizhny Novgorod, no later than March 2024, a local 25-year-old resident Mikhail Gerasimov was detained. He was accused of publicly justifying terrorism. According to the security forces, Gerasimov published online comments that contain justification of terrorism. The details of the charges are unknown. Gerasimov was placed for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital. When and by whose decision this measure was chosen is unknown.
