Case Description
A criminal case was opened in Ryazan for confidential cooperation with a foreign state to the detriment of Russia against local resident Mekhriban Lukinskaya." The date of her detention, as well as details of the charges, are unknown. On 18 August 2025, the Ryazan Regional Court found Mekhriban Lukinskaya guilty and sentenced her to 5 years in a general regime penal colony. On November 25, 2025, the First Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction overturned the verdict and returned it to the court of first instance for reconsideration. Apparently, the charges have been toughened by reclassifying them as treason.
