The court placed Mazur in the SIZO. The man himself believes that he was detained because of correspondence with his cousin, who lives in Ukraine, on the topic of a "senseless, fratricidal, bloody war. On December 24, 2024, the Murmansk Regional Court found Mark Mazur guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony. 18 March 2025, the Second Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction left the sentence unchanged.
