For this purpose, on August 21, 2022, he arrived in Rostov-on-Don, where from August 22 to 24, 2022. he chose the building of the military commissariat of the Soviet and Railway districts of the city to carry out a terrorist act, using instructions posted on the Internet, he made a homemade incendiary mixture with a total volume of 3790 ml, conducted reconnaissance of the area and found escape routes." After that, Borzenko arrived at the military enlistment office with 13 bottles of Molotov cocktails, but he was detained by employees of the FSB Directorate for the Rostov Region. For the duration of the investigation, Borzenko was sent to a pre-trial detention center. June 29, 2023, the Southern District Military Court found Marko Borzenko guilty and sentenced the teenager to 6 years in a juvenile colony. On October 3, 2023, the Appellate Military Court upheld the decision of the first instance.
