Case Description
In May 2023, 19-year-old Maria Arefyeva was detained in Yaroslavl. According to the version of law enforcement officers, on the morning of May 9, she splashed red paint on a banner with the letter Z, which hangs on the building of the Center for Patriotic Education. It is unknown whether a preventive measure has been chosen. On January 24, 2024, the magistrate of court district No. 4 of the Kirovsky Judicial District of Yaroslavl found Maria Arefyeva guilty. The sentence is unknown.
