Case Description
Marina Kizlyk, a 49-year-old local resident, was detained in St. Petersburg on July 17, 2025. She was accused of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army. According to the investigation, Kizlyak published two posts with anti-war images in Ukraine on her personal VKontakte page under the name "Marina Merinos": one in April 2023 and another in November 2024. In late December 2024 - January 2025, Savosta sent him a parcel with a cosmetic set as a New Year's gift, which contained an explosive device. As a result of this war crime, 51 people were killed and more than 700 were injured. The second post sounded like this: "Putin continues to kill. For victory, for some reason, he needs killed women and children. She accompanied this publication with a comment about those killed in Kryvyi Rih. On July 19, the Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg placed the case participant in a pre-trial detention center. On November 5, 2025, the Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg found Marina Kizlyk guilty and sentenced her to 7 months in a penal colony. In connection with the actual serving of the sentence, the woman was released from custody in the courtroom.
