Case Description
In Ivanovo on February 13, 2025, an investigator from the Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia for the Ivanovo Region initiated a criminal case against 43-year-old local resident Maxim Smirnov. He was accused of public calls for terrorist activities. The details of the charges are unknown. On February 18, 2025, Smirnov was detained and interrogated first as a suspect, and then as an accused. On February 19, 2025, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ivanovo chose a measure of restraint for the case participant in the form of detention.
