According to the investigation, in September 2022, the young man planned to commit acts in the buildings of law enforcement agencies. For the preparation of terrorist attacks, he surveyed two police precinct stations, as well as the surrounding areas to establish the presence of outdoor surveillance cameras and determine a convenient approach route to the buildings. The man was unable to carry out his plan to the end, since "he was detained by officers of the FSB of Russia for the Vologda Region. At the time of detention, Repin's "accomplice" died, his name is unknown. On September 16, 2022, the defendant in the case was placed in a pre-trial detention center. On June 6, 2023, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Maxim Repin guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in a strict regime colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison." On September 6, 2023, the Appellate Military Court left the sentence unchanged.
