Case Description
Maxim Nazarikhin, a local resident of the Arkhangelsk region, was detained no later than April 2023 at the age of 18. He was accused of public calls for terrorist activity, public justification and propaganda of terrorism. According to the FSB, Nazarikhin publicly justified and propagandized the activities of the terrorist movement 'Columbine' on his page on the social network 'VKontakte', supported 'Kazan shooter' Ilnaz Galyaviev and posted materials calling for terrorism. He also recorded a video with School No. 3 in the city of Mirny and a song calling for a terrorist attack. During the interrogation, Nazarikhin confirmed his plans to attack this school on the anniversary of Galayev's attack. There is no information about the measure of restraint. On October 25, 2023, the 2nd Western District Military Court found Maksim Nazarikhin guilty, at the same time imposing compulsory medical measures in the form of treatment in a medical organization on him. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
