Case Description
In St. Petersburg, no later than December 2024, a criminal case was opened against 41-year-old Maxim Motovilov. He was accused of treason and attempted smuggling of explosives." The details of the charges are unknown. The court sent the defendant to a pre-trial detention center. On February 25, 2025, the Saint Petersburg City Court found Maksim Motovilov guilty and, by combining sentences, sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony.
