Case Description
On October 1, 2025, in St. Petersburg, politician and deputy chairman of the Yabloko party Maxim Kruglov was detained." He was escorted under guard to Moscow. Kruglova was accused of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army motivated by political hatred. According to the investigation, in April 2022 the politician published two posts on his Telegram channel: one about the events in Bucha and another about peaceful Ukrainians who died during military actions, with a link to UN data. On October 2, 2025, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow sent Kruglov into custody at the request of the investigation.
