Durnykin Maksim Borisovich

In September 2022, 40-year-old local resident Maksim Durynkin was detained in the city of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to the investigation, on September 24, 2022, Durnykin threw two Molotov cocktails at the Balakhna administration building and the local military enlistment office. In the first case, the bottle hit a column in front of the entrance to the administration and shattered, with no ignition occurring, while in the second case, the Molotov cocktail shattered after hitting the wall of the military enlistment office. Initially, a case was opened against Durnikov under the article on destruction of other people's property, but later the charge was reclassified as attempted terrorism. On September 30, 2022, the Sovetsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sent him into custody. 9 August 2023, the 2nd Western Military District Court found Maxim Durynkin guilty and sentenced him to seven years in prison. Durnykin will spend the first two years of his sentence in prison, and the rest of the term in a strict regime colony. On October 17, 2023, the Appellate Military Court issued a final verdict.
