Case Description
In Ufa, at the end of August 2024, local 20-year-old Makar Nikolaev was detained when he came home on vacation from Frankfurt am Main. He was accused of calling for terrorism. According to the investigation, Makar, while abroad in Germany, in the period from March to October 2023, wrote "Heroes of the New Russia" under a post by the "Freedom of Russia" legion on Instagram, as well as two more comments - under posts by "RDK": "you guys are great, you're already snapping tanks like nuts. let the Putin scum not relax, and "Putin's rats are running away according to the telegram, good luck to you." On August 30, 2024, the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa sent Nikolaev under arrest. 16 May 2025, the Central Military District Court found Makar Nikolaev guilty and sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
