Rabadanov Magomedgadzhi Abakarovich

In late February 2024, a criminal case was opened in St. Petersburg against a 68-year-old local resident, a native of Dagestan, Magomedgadzhi Rabadanov, on charges of confidential cooperation with a foreign organization to the detriment of the Russian Federation. According to the security forces, Rabadanov "proactively" contacted the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and reported his intentions to provide information to the Ukrainian side and take specific actions that "could contribute to the military defeat of the Russian Federation. It is claimed that the employees of the FSB of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region learned about Rabadanov's initiative operationally, and further "all meetings and correspondence took place within the framework of the OR. Rabadanov himself claims that FSB employees, having planned everything in advance, found someone who looked like him, with a similar voice, organized remote access to all his electronic devices, held a covert meeting, and "set him up." "According to the man, a "criminal gang" from law enforcement agencies, the court, and individuals living in his communal apartment, including his ex-wife and children, was acting against him with the aim of seizing his two rooms. On January 16, 2024, the Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent a man into custody. On 23 April 2025, the Saint Petersburg City Court found Magomedgadzhi Rabadanov guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime colony with confiscation of all electronic devices through which Rabadanov "committed a crime against state security.
