Case Description
In Kurgan at the end of February 2024, a criminal case was opened against 58-year-old local pensioner Lyudmila Tetenyova for 'fakes' about the Russian army and justifying terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was anti-war posts on Odnoklassniki. According to the investigation, Teteneva, being opposed to the policies carried out by "the organs of state power and President of the Russian Federation V.V. The politician, repeatedly posted false information about military actions and information discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as public calls to destabilize the activities of state authorities, on his social media page. In April 2022, Teteneva allegedly posted a video on her page titled "Exposing the fake about Ukraine bombing Donbas for 8 years." In July 2022, she posted a video titled 'Russians, listen to a person from Ukraine'. The woman was placed under a written undertaking not to leave during the investigation. On June 25, 2024, Judge Denis Torkunov of the Central Military District Court found Lyudmila Tetenyova guilty and sentenced her to 8 years in a general regime colony with a ban on engaging in activities related to administering websites and channels using electronic networks for 4 years. The woman was taken into custody in the courtroom. On December 11, 2024, the Military Appellate Court upheld the verdict.
