Korotkova Lyudmila Viktorovna

In the city of Mirny, Arkhangelsk Oblast, on June 25, 2024, at 6 a.m., a search was conducted at the home of local resident and activist Lyudmila Korotkova. After the search, she was taken away for questioning. A criminal case was opened against the woman for repeated "discrediting" of the Russian army, participation in the activities of an extremist organization, and involvement in the activities of an extremist organization. The extremism charges against Korotkova are based on her participation in the activities of Svetlana Lada-Rus' party "Volya", the "All-Russian Union for the Revival of Russia" (OSVR), and the "We Build the Future Ourselves" (SBS) structure. The last two are not recognized as extremist organizations. Earlier, in April 2023, Korotkov was held accountable in a case of an administrative offense under the article on 'discrediting' the Russian army due to the distribution of anti-war leaflets with the subtitle 'SALVATION - IN THE COUNCILS!' and beginning with the words 'While we celebrate the New Year and hope for the best, in the country by many signs a mass mobilization is being prepared.'
