Case Description
In the town of Aniva, Sakhalin region, 55-year-old local resident Lyudmila Dvoryantseva was detained no later than May 2024. She was accused of public calls to carry out terrorist activities motivated by political hatred and hostility using the Internet.
According to the investigation, on November 14, 27 and 29, 2022, Dvoryantseva, being in the village of Troitskoye, Aniva district, from her tablet posted in the social network "Odnoklassniki" materials containing calls to overthrow the current government, armed rebellion, seizure and retention of power. A linguistic examination found that the publications also contained calls for hostile actions against employees of state bodies and a negative assessment of a group of persons on the basis of nationality (Jews).
There is no information about the measure of restraint.
On September 19, 2024 the 1st Eastern District Military Court found Lyudmila Dvoryantseva guilty and sentenced her to 5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. In addition, the court deprived her of the right to engage in activities related to posting materials on the Internet for 2 years.
On January 16, 2025, the Military Court of Appeal left the verdict unchanged.
