Case Description
In April 2024, a criminal case was initiated in the Konakovsky district of the Tver region against local resident Leonid Klepov for public calls for terrorism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a dispute in comments on social networks "due to a negative attitude towards the SVO. The man was sent to a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation. Leonid Klevov was found guilty and sentenced to two years in a general regime penal colony by the 2nd Western District Military Court on October 1, 2024. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
