2 March 2022, a call about a bomb threat was received at police department No. 77 in St. Petersburg. Next, mass searches were carried out in the case of telephone terrorism - the police were looking for people who made false reports about the mining of state institutions. They are suspected of knowingly false reporting of a terrorist act. Searches were conducted at municipal deputies, activists, human rights defenders, and bloggers. After that, they were interrogated as witnesses and suspects. July 2, 2022, the Investigative Committee terminated the criminal prosecution of activist Ilshat Nafikov due to his lack of involvement in the crime. On August 5, 2022, it became known about the termination of prosecution of another defendant, fem activist Lely Nordik, and on August 24 - about the termination of prosecution of activist Maria Malysheva. The case under the article on telephone terrorism against St. Petersburg activists was not discontinued.
