Case Description
37-year-old local resident Konstantin Pashyan was detained in Belgorod no later than September 2025. He was accused of justifying terrorism. According to the investigation, Pashyan, sharing the views of the 'Azov' organization and speaking out against the policies of the Russian authorities and the conduct of the 'SVO', posted a message in a popular messenger in open access. With this text, he tried to convince other users of the correctness of the terrorist organization's activities and justify its actions. There is no information about the measure of restraint. On January 16, 2026, the 2nd Western District Military Court at a session held outside its permanent location found Konstantin Pashyan guilty and sentenced him to 5 years in a general regime penal colony. He was also banned from administering websites on the internet for 3 years.
