Case Description
On April 25, 2024, in Tolyatti, Samara region, a search was conducted at the home of 26-year-old local resident Konstantin Lagodich. During the search, the young man was beaten in the face and humiliated. His phone was confiscated, after which he was taken for interrogation. A criminal case was opened against Lagodich for desecration of the state emblem of the Russian Federation. The reason for the criminal prosecution was a video in which a resident of Togliatti burned his military ID "in honor of Ukraine. He posted this video on Telegram and VKontakte on the day of the announcement of the "partial" mobilization on September 21, 2022. The man was placed under a non-leave obligation for the duration of the investigation. On 28 May 2024, a second criminal case was opened against a resident of Togliatti - for hooliganism motivated by political hatred or enmity. On January 31, 2025, Lagodich left the country. On March 6, 2025, the Avtozavodsky District Court of Tolyatti issued a warrant for his arrest in absentia and put the Tolyatti resident on the wanted list.
