Case Description
In annexed Simferopol in February 2018, FSB officers detained a 31-year-old local resident, Ukrainian citizen Konstantin Davydenko. He was accused of espionage. According to Russian law enforcement, Davydenko was recruited by the SBU and "collected information on the latest samples of military equipment, electronics, third-generation communication devices, and night vision devices for transmission to the Ukrainian special services. Ukrainian was sent to SIZO. On June 6, 2019, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea found Konstantin Davydenko guilty and sentenced him to seven years in a strict regime penal colony. On October 15, 2019, the Supreme Court of Russia left the sentence in force.
