In December 2024, two underage local residents were detained in Tyumen - 16-year-old Artem Schmidt and 15-year-old Kirill Vanteev. They were accused of preparing to commit a terrorist attack as part of an organized group. According to the investigation, in December 2024, teenagers, on the instructions of an unidentified person, surveyed the Utyashevo - Tyumen section of the Sverdlovsk Railway with the aim of arson. They identified the location of relay cabinets, video cameras, fences, as well as the routes of approach and retreat, and then sent the photographs to the organizer. During the investigation, the defendants in the case were placed in a pre-trial detention center.
