Solonov Kirill Igorevich

Kirill Solonov, a 28-year-old local resident, was detained in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region, no later than March 2024. He was accused of confidential cooperation with a foreign state to the detriment of the Russian Federation, participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, and a terrorist community. According to the investigation, on November 17, 2022, Solonov sent a message to the 'RDK' email address about joining the organization and willingness to act in its interests, as well as his personal data." On February 15, 2023, Solonov, wishing to gain the trust of the RDK representatives, found information online about the arson of the administrative building of the police precinct station in Novoshakhtinsk and informed the RDK representatives that he had committed the arson. On May 30, 2023, the man entered into correspondence with a member of the "RDK, to whom he confirmed his readiness to continue participating in the activities of the aforementioned organization, using the knowledge and skills acquired during his military service under conscription and in the course of studying information about methods of warfare posted on the Internet, and again provided the aforementioned member of the "RDK" with his personal data and a photograph of his foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, for identification and checking for wanted status. The man was placed in custody for the duration of the investigation. On August 11, 2025, the Southern District Military Court found Kirill Solonov guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime penal colony, with the first 3 years to be served in prison.
