Case Description

A criminal case was opened against Kazbek Alikov, a resident of Vladikavkaz, on charges of "fakes" about the Russian army. The exact date of detention is unknown. As a preventive measure for the duration of the investigation, Alikov was given a written undertaking not to leave. According to law enforcement, Alikov left under the news with the headline "Russia struck Kremenchug." According to BBC News Russian Service, a shopping center was damaged, with at least ten dead and dozens injured. Comment: 'I heard such a rather cynical theory from one of the military experts.' "The Russian army is deliberately bombing residential areas and shopping centers so that the cannon fodder that came to fight on the side of Russia understands that they will not be taken prisoner, because you can imagine how the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have to treat prisoners after such shelling. And as I heard, many who get into the "special operation" zone think about surrendering to captivity rather than being killed or maimed." "Earlier, in September 2023, Alikova was fined under the article on discrediting the army. Protocol was drawn up against him because of a comment he left on Facebook: "Kazbek needs to understand that Putin started the war with Ukraine, and now through his symbols V and Z he is trying to spread this guilt to all Russians. And through propaganda and the absence of free media, to deceive people. Understand that if you watch our propaganda for about a week, you yourself will start to think that there's a Banderite or a Nazi around every corner... The propaganda in Russia is terrible. On January 22, 2024, Judge Azamat Badtiev of the Industrial District Court of Vladikavkaz, Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, found Kazbek Alikov guilty and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment suspended with a six-month probationary period. The verdict was not appealed and entered into legal force.
