Case Description
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, along with his supporters, is accused of creating an extremist community as part of another politically motivated criminal case. Criminal cases were opened against the participants of the leading YouTube show "Popular Politics" - associates of the opposition politician Alexei Navalny - under articles on the dissemination of fakes about the Russian army and justification of terrorism. Russia's Investigative Committee has commissioned linguistic examinations of statements and posts by eight YouTube hosts. Among them are Ivan Zhdanov, Maria Pevchikh, Leonid Volkov, Kira Yarmysh, Ruslan Shaveddinov, Lyubov Sobol, Anna Biryukova and Dmitry Nizovtsev. Apparently, the statement refers to statements on the topic of war made during broadcasts and in videos on the channel, the post says.
